Cleancare is a specialist supplier to Hospitals, Aged Care Facilities & Special Care Institutions.
We don’t supply general chemical cleaning products, we SPECIALISE in the best equipment and chemical products for the care of carpet, upholstery and hard floors necessary for special care environments.Carpet cleaning requirements within the aged care industry have changed with an increased need to provide quick and easy solutions to problem spills and accidents. Techniques once adequate for cleaning carpet and upholstery, no longer provide a sufficient level of bacteria and odour control.
It is essential to ensure residents in aged care environments enjoy the highest standard of cleanliness possible. The increased demand for high-care has lead to an inevitable increase of incontinence related accidents. These spills and soils have the potential to also permanently damage carpets and create odours that are persistent due to residual bacteria. To achieve this, the cleaning program for carpets and upholstery requires a specialised focus. We are finding that our long term knowledge and experience within this specialist area is increasingly in demand for solutions to these problems.
Cleancare manufactures: Hot water carpet extraction and hard surface equipment in Australia that is renowned for it’s performance, quality and reliability.

Here are some comments from Cleancare customers...
We had one room in particular where there were persistent accidents but using our usual products the smell never really went away...We started using U.C.T. after cleaning up the accidents and just regularly used a little after general cleaning in the room and in a short time, the smell was gone. We still have ongoing accidents but it's now much easier to take care of!
...We thought our routine for carpet cleaning was fine and we didn’t have many odour problems...we called Cleancare when we were looking into buying a new machine for carpet cleaning. They used their machine and cleaning products on some of our carpet that we had recently cleaned just so that we could try out the machine. We were amazed though when we saw the colour of the water that came out of the machine. This was when we realised that it's not only what you can see that’s the problem, and I have to say the difference now is just a fresher feel about the place...and knowing that everything is REALLY clean!
...We have very old toilets and although we have a new hospital building on the cards, we still needed to solve the problem we had with their smell until then...We tried cleaning these toilets with many different products until Cleancare suggested we try 'U.C. T.' as the smell was probably due to the bacteria that had absorbed into the grout over the years. We cleaned them and then regularly mopped 'U.C.T.' over the tiles and let it soak into the grout and dry...Very quickly the problem was gone.
How to treat urine soiling.
Incontinence, often results in accidental urine "spills" on carpets. When the "spill" is not cleaned thoroughly the result is invariably a strong unpleasant urine odour and possible permanent carpet staining. Due to the multitude of possible components in urine especially when medications are included, effective spot treatment and stain removal often requires more than one product. House keeping staff need to understand that a urine spill is absorbed deep into the carpet pile, backing, and often down into the concrete or wooden sub-flooring. Effective deodorising only happens when chemicals come in contact with the entire contaminated area.
SPOT TREATMENT FOR URINE SPILLS (WITHIN 1-2 HOURS OR WHEN STILL DAMP)
1. Blot up as much as possible with absorbent cloth.
2. Apply Cleancare's 'Proffessional Spot Lifter' and then blot.
3. Apply Cleancare's 'Amocare' solution and blot, repeat treatment until no further staining is transferring to the clean white cloth. If some stain remains move on to use the next recommended product .
4. Apply Cleancare's 'Sourcare' solution and blot, as before continue process until soiling no longer transfers or is removed satisfactorily.
5. Rinse thoroughly with water, blot until dry.
6. If some stain still remains then treatment with Cleancare's 'RESCUE KIT' is required.
7. Spray undiluted 'U.C.T.' (Urine Contamination Treatment) over the affected area and allow to dry.
8. Persistant odour may require a second treatment of Cleancare's 'U.C.T.' (Urine Contamination Treatment).
9. Areas that have been affected by previous and ongoing urine spills may require undiluted Urine Contamination Treatment to be injected into the carpet backing to treat the subfloor to completely solve urine odour.
IF THE ACCIDENT HAPPENS WHEN THIS ROUTINE CANNOT BE FOLLOWED IE: IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT OR VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING, THEN:
A) BLOT UP AS MUCH OF THE URINE AS POSSIBLE.
B) LIBERALLY APPLY CLEANCARE'S 'URINE CONTAMINATION TREATMENT' TO THE AREA. THIS WILL KILL THE BACTERIA WHICH IN TURN STOPS THE ODOUR.
C) IT IS IMPORTANT THAT EXTRACTION CLEANING IS CARRIED OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO MINIMISE DAMAGE TO THE CARPET.
EXTRACTION PROGRAM
1) Completely spray the affected area with Cleancare's 'PreKleen' pre-spray, allowing at least 10 minutes to take effect. A heavier spray will be required where the soiling was heaviest.
2) Clean thoroughly with extraction equipment using the recommended dilution of Cleancare's 'Textile Rinse' which is especially effective at breaking down urinary salts so they can be removed.
3) Lightly spray diluted Cleancare's 'U.T.C.' (Urine Contamination Treatment) -Undiluted if spill was more extensive- over the affected area of carpet and allow to dry.

How to treat faeces soiling.
EXTRACTION PROGRAM.
1) Completely spray affected area with Cleancare's 'Kill Odor' prior to cleaning. (Use a dilution rate of 5 parts water to 1 part Kill Odor).
2) Pre spray Cleancare's 'Pre-Kleen' over carpet, allowing at least 10 minutes to take effect. A heavier spray will be required over the areas where the soil is heavier.
2) Clean thoroughly with extraction equipment using the recommended dilution of Cleancare's 'Formula 90' carpet detergent.
SPOT TREATMENT FOR CARPET AFFECTED BY FAECES:
1. Remove as much surface soil as possible.
2. Apply Cleancare's 'Enzycare' detergent as per instructions on bottle, blot with clean white cloth. Repeat until no further staining is transferring to the clean white cloth. If stain is removed move to step 4, but if staining remains use the next product.
3. Apply Cleancare's 'Amocare' solution and blot, repeat until no further staining is transferring to the clean white cloth. If soil has gone go to step 5. If some stain remains use the next product.
4. Apply Cleancare's 'Sourcare' solution and blot, as before continue process until soil no longer transfers or is removed satisfactorily.
5. Rinse with water and blot until dry.
6. Thorough cleaning with extraction machine as soon as possible ensures no residual staining or odour problems.
7. If some staining still remains then treatment with Cleancare's 'RESCUE KIT' is required.
IF THE ACCIDENT HAPPENS AT A TIME WHEN SPOT CLEANING IS NOT POSSIBLE, IE: IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT OR VERY EARLY IN THE MORNING THEN:
A) PICK UP AS MUCH OF THE SOIL AS POSSIBLE.
B) LIBERALLY SPRAY CLEANCARE'S 'PROFESSIONAL SPOT LIFTER' TO THE AREA AND REMOVE THE WORST OF THE SURFACE SOIL WITH CLEAN RAGS, THIS REDUCES ODOUR AND THE POSSIBILITY OF THE SOIL BEING 'WALKED' AND SPREAD TO OTHER AREAS. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT FULL SPOT CLEANING ( AS OUTLINED ABOVE) IS DONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE TO MINIMISE DAMAGE TO THE CARPET.
